Much like last year, I managed to sneak away to Mexico with my family for some much needed rest and relaxation. We returned to the same resort as last year and our kick@$$ travel agent got us upgraded to the same rooms even!  This year we spent nine days soaking up the sun and the rum :)

Some highlights include shopping in Cancun, kayak/swim race (who cares who won, I beat my dad and sister!) and some amazing meals.  One night we dined on the beach under the stars and spent most days napping by the pool.  I finally had time to catch up on some reading and actually came home with a tan!

Surprisingly, I didn't take many pictures, but  here are some pics from last year!

Thinking back to my resolution of two posts a week in 2011, I'm pretty disappointed.  All in all, 2011 was quite the year; I had adventures overseas, and advanced in my career, found love and experienced loss.  2011 was a hard year for many; some would rather forget it even happened.  But I am grateful for each of my experiences this last year and know they helped me grow into a stronger woman.

Wishing the very best for you and your family in 2012!
