Well, what can I say; once again, I’ve fallen off the blogging wagon. In the four months since my last post I’ve been busy with my photography business, spending time with my family and boyfriend, buying a house, and growing in my career. I’ve traveled to El Paso, Augusta, Las Vegas, Minneapolis and Seattle, but mostly hanging around central Iowa with family and friends. And 143 of you checked in on me and saw…nothing.
Now it’s time for me to once again pack my bags for what could be my last trip to the Philippines; a six-week trip to deliver training and certify a new product. With three weeks until I leave, I’m feeling very at ease for this trip. I know how long the flights will be, I know I will feel homesick, and I know I’ll miss out on fun stuff with friends. But I also know how lucky I am to be able to face time and video chat with everyone back home and how happy I’ll be to see the boyfriend’s face as I come down the escalators at the airport at the end of March. I feel blessed to have found that balance.
While in Manila, I’m planning a weekend get-away with some former co-workers to a resort that I’m sure will be in paradise. Plus I’ll also get the chance to act as a guide to a peer making her first trip to Manila. Check back for updates, I promise I’ll make some.
